Quote from the article: “Nothing seems to bother him,” Ron Smeltzer says. “He’s very even keel, very cerebral. He plays and lives at the same level. Even when he gets hit hard or throws an interception, he bounces right back. He’s just not a guy that gets intimidated.” Weren't they saying the EXACT same things about MF? I've got a warm fuzzy when I think about our supposed "QB situation".
I get the feeling he may be somewhat like Mauck was in the beginning. Mauck at VT that year looked a bit "off" but developed very well over the next 2 seasons. The obvious difference was Mauck's SEC Champ game performance against Tennessee, and MF's Peach bowl performance against Miami. Those 2 games gave us confidence. The key is to get better every game. On the other hand if Lee continues to get better and then gets a chance in a game and looks great, you could be looking at a great QB for a few years. It will be fun to watch.
