i'm taking nothing away from tyson, if he has a great season especially b/c of dorsey double teams, he may go higher, but i wouldn't say DE is always a more coveted position than DT. i don't have any stats on this but i would think it's harder to find a DT prospect than a DE prospect from college to the pros.
All Trojans. I guess I'm curious as to where Booty might be........JD that is. :hihi: LB Keith Rivers will be there as well barring injury. And I think there's a good chance that our MLB Rey Maualuga will leave early as well as WR/TE Patrick Turner out of Tennessee and SLB Brian Cushing out of New Jersey. Oops, almost forgot Drew Radovich and Matt Spanos from our OL.
Dorsey is undersized for a DT in the NFL. Tyson, on the other hand, has amazing athleticism that is hard to find in DEs and good size as well. I'm not saying that Tyson will definitely go before Dorsey, because Dorsey has proven more at this point, but they will both go very early.
Did a DE go before Dorsey in this Draft? Yes. Did I say that Dorsey would be the first DT taken in the draft? Yes. Since Tyson Jackson was not in this draft, we can't really know anything else for sure.
Looks like a decent place to put what I found on DD. BTW he thinks the only reason Dorsey fell to #5 is because of the Chop Block during the Auburn game.:rolleye33: Based on the star ranking debates that always come up in the recruiting forum:
