I miss it. I cannot beleive that ESPN took it off the air. It was the best recap show ever, in my opinion.

Best show ever. Football OR non-football related. I miss it terribly as well.

I think its because ESPN no longer does the Sunday night game. I thought I saw that Berman and TJ would do a highlight show at 9:30 on Sunday nights called NFL Blitz or something like that.

NFL Primetime was on long before ESPN had a Sunday night game. Maybe if enough people bitch about it, they will put it back on. I can't beleive that they took it off because of lack of ratings, if that is the reason.

I did my part when I first heard the news last year. I was at the tail end of an 18 pack, and more than a tad bit distraught upon hearing the news. I called every ESPN phone number I could find. NLMD's opinion was heard. :hihi:

Although I didn't see the beginning of NBC's coverage last night, I think it is because NBC started their pregame coverage at 7PM EST and none of the other networks can have NFL coverage that competes in the same time slot.

NBC owns the exclusive rights to show NFL highlights longer then 20 seconds per game between a certain time window (I want to say 7:00 til the end of the game); this was part of the package it paid the NFL for in its Sunday night TV deal. ESPN had to contractually end NFL Primetime because of this.

NFL Primetime does still air, just not in the same time slot. I watched it on my lunch break a few days ago.
