That doesn't mean anything though. Brett Favre has a shit ton of picks too. They threw them because of their confidence. They were gunslingers. Manning, Marino, Tarkenton, Unitas and Favre all threw more Int's than Elway did, that doesn't mean they weren't very good.
Hey, @LaSalleAve , I disagree about Wilson. While he can create w/his legs, he much prefers passing. I watched him play a lot at NCSU. I likened him to Montana then b/c he would wait and wait and wait, and eventually find someone open to hit the game winning score. Dude was clutch then, and is now, but more w/his arm than legs. Look how many TDs he threw for the second half of this season. He was on fire when he wasn't having to run as much.
What I'm saying though is defenses have to play him a certain way because he is a threat to run. If he wasn't defenses could drop 8 in coverage and I guarantee you, we would see a completely different QB. Just the fact that he CAN run, even though it's not his 1st option, puts a huge strain on defenses because the absolute last thing you want to let happen to you is the QB beating you with his legs. Wilson is very intelligent though. I think he will be a guy that will grow into a guy who can be a strict pocket passer without the run threat, but he isn't that now.
Those comebacks were usually a result of his fuck-ups. I didn't say he wasn't good. I just don't believe the "legendary" status. 300 TDs, 221 INTs...
4th all time in wins, 3rd in winning percentage as a starter. 4th all time playoff wins, 51,475 yards. That's legendary as far as I'm concerned.
Jim Kelly lost 4 in a row. Dan Marino never won one. Dan Fouts never won one. The winning of the Super Bowl is a very overblown thing IMO. It carries weight but people who say Marino wasn't great because he didn't win one are idiots.
The dude was amazing. I watched just about every game of his that was televised. He was awesome. The Drive. Man that shit was unreal.
