Trust me, I know. The only positive thing to come out of the QB position in Miami since #13 retired was they were the only team to have two Jewish QB's for a season or two. What a great record to own. They made a few acquisitions last year that made the team more competitive, like acquiring guard Justin Smiley and TE Anthony Fasano. Parcells makes these moves that dont appear on the first segment of Sportscenter but they improve teams. Its the reason teams like Oakland spend money on RB's but it doesnt matter if you dont have an OL. Fins are going in the right direction and having a decent QB for the first time in a decade has helped the team tremendously, and he should dfefnitly be in the discussion.
You're a big Fins guy. Do you think they'd have been a ton better than 1-15 last year with him? He was 4-12 where he was with tons more talent. The Trent Green thing might have been a stretch. I guess my point is if Peyton were the Dolphins QB, would they be better than 10-5? And if the Colts had Chad, would they be 11-4?
More than likely, considering Miami has a capable defense and a pro bowl running game. Not likely, considering they have a below average defense and absolutely no running game.
Peyton Manning won in a landside with 32 votes--nobody else got more than 4 (Pennington and Turner got 4 each). The press writes: "Manning and the Colts were virtually unstoppable." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3805670
Well the NFL MVP will be one and done in the playoffs, like so many other times in his glorious career.
