It's the MVP of the regular season and the award will be handed just as the playoffs begin and is strictly a regular season award.

Manning has Harrison, Gonzalez, Wayne and Clark.

I dare you to name me any of Pennington's targets without looking it up first.

I would not be upset with Manning or Peterson winning it. But Pennington has to be in the top 3 to be considered.

I understand that it is a regular season award, but I just don't see Pennington being more valuable than Manning.

If you put Manning on the Dolphins, they would still be a good team.

If you but Pennington on the Colts, they're just the Colts.

I think it's more of an in-your-face thing to the Jets if he does get it. Manning does have better WRs, but he doesn't have Pro Bowler Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams either. It's ALL on him.

I am not sure what happened to Colts running game this season, they have 2 very capable backs.

It's an interesting discussion to say the least.

Sad thing is they will just throw the comeback award at Pennington and that's as far as it will go for him.

I hope he lights it up against the Jets with 3 TDs and nearly 300 yards passing. Then they will have to include him in the discussion.

    it's not Chad Pennington.

    Sorry.

The Fins were 1-15 last year, mostly because they didn't have Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams healthy and had roughly 5-6 defensive starters injured.

Let the same circumstances arise this year and Pennington would get buried . . . again.

Whereas, Peyton can play without Bob Sanders, a 100% Marvin Harrison and without a running game (while recovering from surgery) and win 12 games.

I spent a total of six hours in my car today. Listened to Sports talk on XM on various chanels. Sounds like its Peyton's to lose at this point.

I nominate myself for NFL MVP.

I drafted Peyon this year, and he stunk it up early.
Benched him for that arrogant asshat from Vandy.
Apparently that pissed of Manning, because he has been lights out ever since.

Without me benching him, he may have never recovered from his off season surgery.

over the years, I have ended the (useful) careers of Rich Gannon, Shaun Alexander, Priest Holmes, sent Jamal Lewis to jail, crippled Deuce, forced Plax to shoot himself, etc. etc. etc.

if so, draft Johan Santana, Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, K-Rod and Tex if he signs with the Nats.

Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla would help, too.

    yeah it's pretty bad.
    I can turn a perrenial all-star into a journeyman.
Also really good at sending players to the DL or giving them cancer.

DeAngelo Williams should be in the discussion now. 4 rushing TDs into the 3rd quarter so far.
