He'd get my vote, even though I fear the sportswriters biting the cheese and putting a defensive player as MVP.

He has as good a chance as anybody.

There is no clear-cut choice this year.

Micheal Turner must be in this discussion IMO.

Agreed. But if he is in there then AD would probably be ahead of him because he doesnt have a White or Ryan on his team.

Im still sticking with my comments that Turner > LT. If the Chargers had a better fanbase they would have moved the visor and not Turner.

id give it to tom brady simply because no one else impressed me enough with him out.

seriously, if kurt warner wins it does it make him a lock for the HOF? I mean, that makes 3 league MVP awards, right?

I think it does therefore he cannot win it.:lol: maybe he deserves it (HOF) but it doesnt seem right.

adrian peterson deserves a look-see but his team sucks.

james harrison will likely be the defensive guy to win it if one does. Although I love me some james farrior (no shot).

just give it to the entire pitt defense and if not, the ravens. ed reed has made more big plays in the last 3 weeks than the saints d has the last 3 years.

Kurt Warner might be a popular choice.

Everybody is missing the boat on this one.

    Chad Pennington.

A team that was 1-15 last season. Let's be honest, they did not add many parts to make this team better. He has absolutely no receivers to throw too, the O-line isn't vastly improved from last season's poor play.

He has a 95 QB rating. His team is on the verge of winning the AFC East. If Cleo Lemon is quarterbacking that team, they may very well be 1-15 again.

Finally, for once, actually choose a player that is the true MVP.

Peterson and Manning should be in the discussion. Pittsburgh's defense is too good to have one player impact it to the extent he would warrant an MVP award. I would put Ware and Porter ahead of Harrison or Reed as more impact players for their respective teams. Remove those players, and you probably have some pretty mediocre defenses. Most of Porter's sacks have had huge impacts on the outcomes of the games, as Miami has had plenty of close wins.

What if Peyton goes on to win the Superbowl and Pennington ends up either missing the playoffs or goes one and done in the playoffs? Who is more valuable, especially considering the Colts have won 8 in a row in spite of a terrible running game (Addai has really fallen off the last couple of years), and a shaky defense. The guy threw 17 straight completions last night, came back from 14 points down after taking the team on his shoulders, throwing 4 TDs to win the game.

Miami is #11 in total defense, #8 in scoring defense, and the Colts are #15 and #13 respectively. The only reason the Colts defense is ranked this high is because Manning can keep them off the field.

Get this... running the ball, the Dolphins are #12, and the Colts are #31. The whole team IS Manning.

Without Manning, the Colts are heinous.

Now, comeback player of the year award should definitely go to Pennington.
