Glen Davis of Boston Celtics wants to try NFL when basketball career is over - ESPN Boston

I'll put the odds of this happening at about even with a Lions-Titans super bowl this year.

Had he chosen football from the beginning, he could have been great with those quick feet.

Maybe in the USFL, but no way in the NFL, he'll be to old to play any meaningful position. He has got to be kidding, I can't believe that he really thinks he will go play football after he plays for 10-15 yrs in the NBA. Although, he does have his NBA Championship ring already, maybe he retires early.

Can't say he hasn't done very well for himself in the NBA. At $3 million a year, I'm sure there are quite a few starting offensive linemen in the NFL earning that salary.

I believed Davis had the footwork and agility to be a franchise LT though. That earns you over $10 million a year. He will definitely need to be a starter to earn that kind of money in the NBA.

I don't see it happening, but I first thought he would get a look at tight end. He gets up and down the court pretty quick, has the great feet, and I'm thinking good hands. He lost weight prior to his Sr. season, got down to 270ish. Might work.

Maybe he should beat out the All-Star on his own team for a spot in the starting line-up before he thinks about becoming an All-Star himself.:dis:
