From what I can discern, it appears that NBC has decided to flex the Cincinnati @ NY Jets game this Sunday night. The problem with that is New England plays earlier in the day and if they win, the Bengals have absolutely nothing to play for (they would be guaranteed to be 4th seed). So with that said, the Bengals will not take chances with Palmer or Ochocinco getting injured and will sit them most likely. The problem with that is the Jets will win the game (just as they did against a lame duck Colts team) and that will probably deny the Broncos, Steelers and Texans any chance of making the playoffs. Not sure why they didn't flex the Cowboys/Eagles game. The Cowboys may have hit their limit on telecasts on NBC/ESPN/NFLN and thus could not be shown again (I think the limit is 7).
you know what would be awesome, is if the Jets beat the Bengals and the Colts in the playoffs, after those 2 teams layed down and let them make it into the playoffs.
Well that really sucked. Worked out just like I anticipated. The game was meaningless to Cincy and they let the Jets win. Not sure if Cincy would have fought for the 3 seed anyway if they had played at noon.
