You are all forgetting one thing....defensive schemes. Dorsey is a 4-3 tackle, Ellis is said to be able to play both 4-3 & 3-4. That is why I don't think Miami has any intention of drafting Dorsey. Do you think Dorsey would be as productive at 320lbs, I don't think so. His quickness would suffer too much. No matter what, he is a top 5 pick!
In theory that is true. But some 3-4 and 4-3 schemes are different than others. For example, Miami's 3-4 includes very big DE's that clog holes where as San Diego's focuses more on the Jack to play the pass just as well. Which means Miami may not take Chris Long like many think. We will have to see for Dorsey.
Here is a cool site I found that has every sites draft predictions. A few have Steltz going to the Saints. :thumb:
I think we all need to remember that the picking order is very important as to where the players get picked, different needs for different teams.
am i missing a major thread? where's all the discussion about how hester and flynn did at the combine? watched a lot of it yesterday. hester ran a 4.6 and 4.67 (i think). slipped on his cutting drills. his hips looked like they were set in stone, too, but he is a FB. not much to say about flynn. definately didnt have the zip on the ball as many others but thats expected. he ran a 4.7---a bit slower than i had heard he runs. maybe the season injuries affected that. doucet didnt participate. i havent watched any of the other groups.
What the hell happened with Ali? I know he's not that slow. Is he hurt or did he have the jitters? Who has he been training with since the season ended?
