With the Saints loss and the Bears D giving up 31 points to the lowly Tampa Bay Bucs (currently tied 31 all late in the 4th), the NFC is now up for anyone who wants to take it.

Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Seahawks will all have a shot at getting to the Super Bowl.

Congrats to Joe Gibbs. The guy can still flat out coach. That is apparent.

Look for the Saints to rebound nicely against the Giants next weekend.

I'll give him credit for having a great defensive gameplan, but I would disagree that he can still flat out coach. There were several instances today where it was very apparent that the game has definitely passed him up. Case in point: going for that field goal in the fourth when you're inside the 10 yard line with only a 3 point lead and the number 1 offense coming back on the field. In the past that may have been a good call, but not anymore.

Drew Brees definitely had an Aaron Brooks type game in terms of decision making. He looked lost for most of the game, although it didn't help that the line was doing a horrible job blocking.

What a wasted opportunity! For a team that has never been past the final eight of the playoffs, a bye sure would be nice. A bye followed by a home win puts you in the NFC Championship. That sounds a lot better than a wildcard game.

You hate to complain but damn...you win your division today while losing at home. You can also kiss the MVP gone for Brees. Unless L.T. fumbles a dozen times, it's gone.

I hope the Saints have forgotten the Cowboys game now. The Giants and Panthers are not going to roll over for us.

We need a 5 game win streak and something that resembles this...:crystal:

I wouldn't take away Drew's shot at the MVP just yet. Sure, he had a bad game today, but the MVP isn't based on one game alone. You also have to look at their contributions to the team. Would the Saints be anywhere near as good as they are right now without Brees? Absolutely not. On the other hand, the Chargers wouldn't be as good without LT, but they'd still have a respectable record. At this point, though, I would say that, at best, it'll be a Co-MVP award. But talk about two players who are both equally deserving.

I also think Brees may have lost his chance at MVP.

He needs to keep up with LT and LT has already lit it up in just the first half tonite.

    I think it's officially over.

Without a doubt. Even if it were in question, the media will put LT over the top.
