I am watching the New England vs. Chicago game. Supposedly Chicago is the cream of the NFC. Uhhh, not impressed. New England comes into this game all banged up in the secondary and that loser of QB Rex Grossman can't even exploit it. Chicago having to resort to stripping the ball just to stay in the game. NFC WAY up for grabs. Dallas may be the team to beat to get to the Super Bowl.
Here are the standings for each division as of now from Espn: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2668613
If you assume wins over San Fran and Washington, that puts the Saints at 9-4. A 9-7 Saints team will make the playoffs, even as a wildcard. Other than a 7-4 NY Giants and Dallas (one of which wins the division), only Carolina (6-5) has a winning record. Indy will beat Philly tonite. All other teams will be 5-7, giving the Saints a nice 2 game margin. Looks mighty fine to me.
Bears really need to consider benching Grossman. The dude is really bad. If they don't want to get to the Super Bowl, then keep playing him. For the Saints sake, keep playing em, we'll beat you in the championship game.
Rex Grossman's QB rating in the 4th quarter this season is 23.2. Yes, 23.2. Only Andrew Walter's is worse.
