First of all, I don't doubt that the SEC is the strongest conference, that's not what we're debating- OOC scheduling, and whether playing in the SEC, alone, is enough to warrant scheduling cream puffs and you just ended it cause you clearly showed that without VT on our schedule (Well, we couldn't have beat them if they weren't scheduled) we wouldn't have made it on playing in the SEC alone.

And if clair was right, why was everyone worried about whether or not we'd have a split NC this year? Cause it was possible it was possible with teams having the same record and would have come down to who played better and better teams so who's to say it wouldn't have happened with AU, we'll never know cause their OOC schedule was a joke and it was brought up then.

we'll never know, because USC beat No. 2 Oklahoma by 100+ points in the title game.

I thought we all agreed with you about the home field advantage, just wasn't sure if you meant home field in itself or the distance. I already posted my feelings on the distance thing- not our fault we don't live on the edge of the earth. :hihi:

let me explain it since you didnt get the impact of the victory monday night.

since LSU won even with 2 losses, the sec will now get the nod over any other conference comparable from now on. Once OSU gets shellacked by USCe next year, they are close to effectively out the race because no one will want them anywhere near the BCS championship in florida.

so no, we wont need to schedule stronger OOC games. I didnt prove anything except 1000 things had to happen for us to get in the NC game. pick which ever one you want and all other 999 still have to happen whether we scheduled Va tech or not. oh and destroyed them. thats one small detail as well. you gotta win.

I admit to having argued a little of both. But once you consider Hawaii, Cali isn't the edge of the Earth. Clearly a visit to Virginia to start the season is what I would consider more of a burden than to say, an equally ranked team that is only one state over.

Would Tiger fans have felt as confident about your opener this year if it had been AT VaTech?

    tirk is spot on.

the SEC is 4-0 in BCS :crystal: games.

From now on, anytime it's close, the pollsters will put the SEC team in.

considering Va Tech won their opener against a cream-puff by just a few points, the result would have been the same. :)

LSU started on the road against a bowl winner, btw... and won 45-0... that's just FYI. :)
