I'd expect to see Mett the starter in future, but I haven't seen Randle throw the ball, I'm sure he is fast though. Couldn't we redshirt Randle this year and have him available another year if he is so good? Either way I'm confident we should have solid QB play for the next couple of seasons.
Hey, Mods. Can you please merge this topic with the Jarrett Lee topic since both of them are BS speculation discussions designed to do nothing but trash Les Miles?
I think you are right. Miles seems to like a bit of uncertainty in the game and you sure can't argue with success. The man has averaged almost 11 wins a season at LSU. So I suspect we will continue to see more of the same. Then again, he may want to change it up completely next year and go with one QB all year. Maybe it's all part of the Mad Hatter's grand plan. ldskule:
I sure didn't get that from it. I also thought it was a fair question in looking to next year though I thought it was premature. Nonetheless, it's slow so I kept my trap shut.
Mett will be the gun slinging pro-style QB for 75-80% of the snaps, while I'm sure we'll see Randall used as an extra dimension in the run game as the dual threat option QB... much like Flynn/Perriwho in '07. It will spell another BCS title and total CFB dominance by LSU.
I'm not trashing les. I simply stated that our past history under miles has been that we use a two qb system, some years more some less. There will be those that want to see one qb over another. It has happened every year. Miles likes to use two qb's. He's the coach, he can use as many players as he chooses. Anytime you sit one qb for another you will have contraversy. If you play one qb and not another you will have contraversy. It's just how it is. If only mett played there will be those that will call for randall and visa versa. I've said nothing about miles in a negative light. It's simply the facts that as long as you play two qb's you will have contraversy. Miles plays two qb's. Reasoning says there will be contraversy. No slight to miles. Simply answering the question posed.
