The talent is definitely there. And some experience as well. I'm still concerned about DB, particularly CB. In my opinion, most of our QB sacks and hurries can be credited to coverage. We just didn't have a consistent pass rush from the front four. Maybe by design, but I also think it's because our DL wasn't built that way. Looks like they'll be the same next year. We'll have to see.

    Offense looks goo-oo-oo-oo-ood.

I know that is what he is listed at, but he looks heavier than 205 to me. I can't recall him coming up and really laying the wood though, even to a QB. Perhaps he did, but I don't recall. We need speed at LB, but we also need an aggressive guy who can hit.

He really didn't list him as #3, but as 2a with Murphy. I took it to mean he was tied with Murphy not behind him.

What is the latest on Phelon Jones? I see he is listed as a number 2 CB. The kid had a 4.3 something 40 supposedly recorded and would be our fastest cover man. It would be ashamed if he were buried on the depth chart with that type of speed. Has anyone seen him practice, etc. Does he have what it takes to be a great corner, but just needs experience?

i think your running back position is pretty interesting. putting kw at #3 is definitely strange considering what their carry numbers look like this year.

but richard murphy at two! hell yeah, that guy is my boy.

and i promise you ridley will see time at RB.

John Williams & Ron Brooks - two great athletes, but I think they're going to primarily be special teams guys.

I've heard Ron Brooks will be returning punts next year.

Keiland will get a lot of touches next year but it will mostly be when we run the option. I think Scott will be our every-down back.

I thought about putting him at RB on the depth chart, but he's listed as a FB by LSU so that's where I left him.

Ridley will only be a RS freshman next year, but I think he'll get some snaps as a RB - mostly mop-up duty.

I was told a story about Murphy by a guy that coached against him...
When he was a senior, he was also the kickoff guy for his team... When they played this guy's school, the guy put a player on the kick return team to "head hunt" Murphy. Sounds dirty, I would never ask a player to do it, but its pretty common. So Murphy kicks the ball, the opposing player charges him... Murphy basically gets in "football position" (kind of a shortstop/deadlift looking position if you don't know what I mean) and springs into the guy as he approaches... Breaks the kids neck... the guy is o.k., but never played football again... Murphy is a beast...
