I hope to go. I found the perfect place to stay. I went to the rangers/yankees game this past sunday and stayed at omni hotel in las colinas. $100 for 2 beds. unreal hotel. easily a 5 star hotel. It's about 15 miles from the stadium. no traffic whatsoever in las colinas. i can't wait to go back there. just checked their site. all rooms are booked for super bowl. but...for sept 2-4...4 people...1 room is $143 per night....but nonrefundable $160 per night if you want to be able to get a refund if you can't make it. the room is great and the city (las colinas) is extremely clean. plus, there is a hooters (grapevine) just 11 miles away.
That's fine if you just want to go to the game and back to the hotel but there isn't much around Las Colinas but office buildings, residential areas and a few chain restaurants. Most of the good restaurants and nightlife are in the Uptown or the Knox-Henderson areas. Stay away from downtown Dallas. It's pretty much void of anything outside of business hours other than a few super douchey techno clubs. Fort Worth also has a really cool laid back downtown area and the stockyards are worth a trip too.
