I'm not discounting what Luke Del Rio may bring to the field. Certainly an unknown, but he's been complimented by several who have opinions I trust.
I have a question about Coker...he played in a few cleanup games for FSU last year, so how can he play immediately at Alabama, doesn't he have to sit out a year since it's another D1 school???
A walk-on who turned down scholarship offers to Oklahoma State, UCLA, and Oregon State just to name a few that come to mind. He's not your everyday walk-on, CS. That's not to mention he'll have a year in the program before Coke arrives, if he does. I am well aware of the hype surrounding Coker as well as the stories about his anticipated transfer. I'm also of the mind-set that anyone suggesting he's going to get the job as soon as he steps foot on campus isn't looking at the situation realistically. They are voicing an opinion. All I'm saying to them, and you, is don't be so quick to discount guys who've been in the system and have shown potential within this offense. I think it's premature to just write off Blake Sims as well.
He's in a very interesting situation. He won't have to sit a year because he will graduate this spring. What makes him unique is he'll have two years to play two. If he only had one year of eligibility left he couldn't transfer to a SEC school, period. (See the Masoli rule.)
1st game will tell me a lot. With our O'line and another off season for AJ + Magee & LF, I think we will average about 200+ rushing a game. I also think our D will be top 2 in the SEC next year. Really depends on the D'line again....... Our secondary will be tits.
