Lot of unanswered questions. The fog was so bad that planes were grounded at LAX. The copter pilot was flying at 800 feet trying to follow a road. Then he took it up to 2200 feet but must have either lost power or deliberately dropped altitude when it crashed into a mountain at 1700 feet.
