I'm sure it came across as insensitive and yet for me it was more an indictment of the media perched outside her house like hungry crows for the last 5 days. My God. Aretha not well....Aretha and family asking for prayers...Aretha enters hospice....Aretha is weak but family says she's a fighter. It was truly morbid. Couldn't they have just gone with the initial failing health story and then showed some RESPECT?
Lol. I think it may have been shorter than Kareem's.

Johnny Kline, believed to be one of the oldest living former members of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, recently died in Lebanon.

    He was 86.

Kline played for the Globetrotters for six years, from 1953 to 1959, after a collegiate career as a basketball player and track athlete at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Known as "Jumping Johnny," Kline lived most of his life in Detroit. He recovered from addiction to heroin and alcohol toward the end of his playing days, which helped motivate his post Globetrotters career. Kline was inducted into the Globetrotters "Legends Ring" in 2002.
