correct! Well, i didn't leave the Troy game early either. So I very nearly experienced heatstroke and frostbite in the same season. that would be the game. I evacuated for Gustav the night before. Cash was in my bag in the apartment I was taying in. my wife threatened to kill someone if they didn't let us geaux get some cash. with those 2 for 1's we were dumping them on my 2 sons heads to help keep them cool. P.S. to whom it may concern, Seriously, do NOT ever EVER schedule a day game before mid/late October in South Louisiana again. EVER. WTF were y'all thinking?
And people loved it 30 years ago. I say you hold on until it just collapses during an exciting game. We could add it to our earthquake story! Kidding... But hell, it survived a small earthquake already (Auburn) and it's still standing. I think it's okay. It is true that Tiger fans make the stadium come alive. Also, the architecture is cool. But architecture is made of bricks and mortar. It's just cool having an old stadium in parts and it gives you a sense of history. And I couldn't imagine it being in a different spot. You know, coming down the hill seeing the stadium and the crowd gathering...the band marching down... All that stuff is great. However, I hear LSU is looking at the Wienerschnitzel property on Highland Road as a possible location for the new, smaller, economy-friendly Tiger Stadium.
I guess a wienerschnitzel stadium would be cool but I hope Mike the tiger stays and we don't have this for a mascot... National TV audiences might think Meyer coached here.
I wrote a few checks............BTW, the concessions/bathrooms in the East UD made those tics much more tolerable.:geauxtige
