On first down we just punt. Then rely on our Defense to stop them. They punt the ball back to Peterson. If he does not get into field goal range or score a TD on the return, we punt again on first down. Repeat until field position is good enough for a field goal or Peterson scores a TD. There would be no booing of our QB, OC or HC and we would maximize Peterson's touches. Not really my idea... I was in the gym here in Houston today and two guys were talking about this being the best idea for "LSU's Issue". Frustrating to hear everyone talking about how strong the rest of the team is. "if only...."
Dude, that's the Bobby Boucher strategy: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSulFZ7XJ1U&feature=related]YouTube - The Waterboys Best Hits[/ame]
They way some folks celebrated the humbling five field goal record, imagine how over the top they would get with the single game punting record. Ugh!
