Agree. The cupcake games are worthless. The rankings math ought to reduce points by some amount if non conference team is ranked 50 or so places lower. There would be more losses but the game would be better,
Yeah, there would be a hell of a lot less college football played if these games didn't exist. The LSU's of the world are happy because a rent a win is worth ~$4 million more than a home and home against a good team is, and the FCS teams are happy because they get a cool million and the players get to talk about that one play where they beat Jamarr Chase in Death Valley.
Also, there's no divisions. Two teams with the best conference record would play in the SEC championship. Rematches would occur periodontally. I like the idea. But the SEC will probably dig in its heels in favor of the current scheduling method.
The Pod concept. Saw it earlier in season. Its interesting. The goal being avg 3/4 yr player gets to play in every stadium in conference. On the downside, gumps cant schedule Tenn more than 3x a season.
First meeting between A&M and Georgia since 2009 today. A&M joined the SEC in 2011. It's absolutely ridiculous that they haven't played each other in 8 years of being in the same conference.
