Legit how? His message at the end was fine, my question is why 10:30 of how terrible the rich white people are to say what the meat and potatoes were? Bottom line is NONE of us had a single bit of anything to do with how we got here. We didn't get to pick, so what is the point other than make the most of what you have?
Actually, the guy at the end said he wasn't or didn't feel that way and that skin color didn't define him, which is absolutely true. I just don't understand the lengths he went to in showing what we already knew in that our past is full of racism and discrimination. Still think I didn't watch it @LaSalleAve
Do you know anybody like that? You do live in the heart of the Bible Belt. Look, everybody knows and accepts that slavery was bad. Discrimination based on race was bad. As far as I know none of my ancestors were slaveowners and even if they had been that wouldn't reflect on me. What happened 150 years ago has no bearing on today. There is still some racial discrimination but if you paid attention in your history classes we had a big civil rights movement and laws were eventually passed to end discrimination. We are all equal now, at least legally.
People forget that, even in this country, there were many WHITE slaves. They typically came over as indentured servants.
It mentioned that in the portion of the video I watched. Also, the state of Georgia was populated by English convicts who were deported for crimes a minor as being in debt. Australia too.
