Looks like Vilma is going to become a Saint. That would be a good get and fill a void if true. The only question is whether his injury will make him more like the player from last year or previous seasons.
Mike and Mike reporting this morning that an announcement could be made as soon as today. 4th round (conditional is what I think they call it) pick for Vilma. I also heard this morning that the Saints had contacted the Giants about Jermey Shockey. Anyone else find this disturbing? I have no use for this guy.
Vilma is a real good pick-up. I dont see why they would contact them about Shockey when they could get a great TE that terrorized us in TE Alge Crumpler who is a Free-Agent. Still waiting for Asante Samuel and holding out that we could get Issac Bruce,BooGur McFarland. and for cheap Randall Gay.
I don't really know why Saints fans don't want Shockey. In Payton's offense, the TE was always open, they just sucked too bad to ever catch the ball. lol that was a bigger need last year than WR with the big Meachem disaster.
I'll take shockey it just that isn't he not a FA and would have to give somthing compared to just signing Alge Crumpler
Eagles sign Asante Sammuel to 6 year contract. Wonder if we even tried since he signed with the first team he visited. Still hoping for: Lance Briggs, Randall Gay, Alge Crumpler, Issac Bruce and A.McFarland
this will never, ever happen, but if D-Mac falls to No. 10 with the Saints, would you guys want to take him? Deuce is washed up... and don't get me started on Reggie Bush.
No. I disagree about Deuce being washed up. I also think we'll see a different Reggie this season, since he plans on doing the team offseason program as opposed to that Free Flo Do crap from last year.
