It feels good that the Saints are being considered as an options for players now that they would like to play for. It all depends on what the Dolphins are going to take for Taylor.
Football is a couple of months away. Baseball is over. No basketball. Recruiting is quiet, so I felt the need to revive this thread. Here is my .02 on the Saints this year: Take a look at the Saints depth chart. Feels alot better than "Jamie Martin", huh? If Meachem pans out like they say he's starting to, I don't see why the Saints can't run away with the division. On the defensive side of the ball, of course we have Vilma. Roman Harper will be healthy. Randall Gay will come in and help McKenzie and the DE's are 2 of the best in the league. I'll be pretty happy with that depth chart when: Jonathan Goodwin proves that he's an NFL starter. Someone other than Lance Moore is opposite Colston. I like Moore, but I don't think he's starter quality. Deuce proves that the knees are healthy. Reggie Bush is replaced by Pierre Thomas, and Bush is listed by some hybrid position name that reflects what he can do best for us, rather than a traditional tailback, which he clearly is not Sedrick Ellis is moved into the starting lineup. Jonathan Vilma demonstrates he's healthy...ditto Mike McKenzie.
If you were here, I'd slap you upside the head with my copy of "The Saga of the Saints" by Wayne Mack. All I did was offer a honest assessment of where I think our troubles lie entering training camp. The Bucs? For that matter, anyone but the Saints? :angryfire:angryfire
