Doesn't change the fact that the statue was erected because Lee fought against the USA for the propagation of slavery - an act that should not be honored by any American government entity.

Doesn't change the fact that New Orleans erected the statue of Jackson because he saved the city from British invaders. Not that it matters but most historians agree that Britain likely would have resumed the war if they had prevailed in New Orleans and gained control of the Mississippi.

So say you. You who have nothing but anger in your heart....or is it guilt? Who are you to know what was in the hearts and minds of the people who raised the statues???? What the F makes you so all knowing? All you're giving is YOUR opinion with nothing to back it up.
You're the phony putting today's values on people who lived over 100 years ago. You're deliberately miscasting why the statues were erected and how the heros were portrayed.
Your nothing but a Taliban with nothing inside but hate and envy. You are out!

Liberals take the moral high ground by chopping the trees down.

That makes no f**king sense. I am ACKNOWLEDGING their values of 100 years ago: anti-American, racist values that allowed them to erect an anti-American, racist symbol. People's values of 200 years ago allowed them to have slaves..... are you suggesting we should not have demolished that institution, either?

Can you just go buy some blue spray paint and fix the statue since your crux is the uniform?

Peel your white skin off seeing how whites have pretty much decimated all in the world at one point and time.

Except he didn't fight against the USA for the propagation of slavery. He fought against the Union because they invaded his home state. Carrying all that white guilt around must get really heavy sometimes.
