Nickelodeon, animial planet, and the history channel have made PBS irrelevant. A classic example of private business taking the leadership role.
correct. the united states is unique. private enterprise is our thing and it works for us. i do concede that the best media organization on earth is the BBC, funded by british people via a tv tax, but we are americans, not brits, and our leaders and sensibilities are generally too stupid to mange something like this we are not cut out for that sort of thing.
not sure if he was discussing the learning channel. do you have trouble finding enough private television programming to feed your overwhelming intellectual curiosity?
But you don't oppose what we have now? Media financed by parties? What ever happened to real media, not these corporate puppets.
A lot of problems in this country would be on their way to being solved if money was eliminated from politics.
I read bbc news every day and watch free over the air Al Jazeera when I want to see a live news event. Neither of those are financed by American parties or corporate america. i also read the nytimes, which is very liberal but relatively trustworthy. Also the two ny tabloids are fun. I don't oppose what we have. If you watch fox and hate it, you are to blame. The choices are virtually unlimited.
