Same. My guess is Chase tumbles (still first rnd) based on a few other good rec that stayed and played. Would assume Waddle would have gone higher as well if not for injury.
That will never fly and is also a tad capricious. Instead both player and u should part ways as end of bus relationship. No more access to facilities or training program. Keep your scholly and keep going to class if you so choose but no longer be counted against limit. Lastly, I dont think you should be able to opt back in outside of a med reason.
I think if/when we start paying these guys, and I’m pretty sure we are heading in that direction, they need to sign for 3 or 4 years. If you get paid, no opt out option.
So draft eligibility is an NFL rule...the NCAA has no say in it at all. The NFL says a player is eligible for the draft when 3 calendar years pass after a kid graduates from high school. You are correct about the NCAA "opt out" rule. The problem is that the NFL counts 3 years after a kid graduates from high school regardless of how many NCAA years of eligibility are left and regardless of if a kid skips playing for a season by 'opting out'.
I was out of touch for a few days, what happened with FU? @furduknfish Wouldn't it be great if Chase would fall to the Saints?
