Alright, so you guys won me over after you beat my Ducks to start the season. I've been reading the boards and following the team stats. I live in Oregon, so I obviously don't get the LSU coverage like y'all do (do you say "y'all" in Louisiana?). I need to know all about your traditions/fight songs/etc. And I want you to know I've been a Tiger apologist to all of my Duck friends. That said, not one of them has said that the Ducks blew it that game. Every single one has said that LSU has a much better team...period. I'm not saying we're not playing better so perhaps we'd give you a better game, simply that LSU is the best team in the nation...period. Alabama will lose Saturday. I'm thinking 23-13? Your defense could hamper some NFL teams (okay, maybe that's going too far, but dang it's fun to watch LSU play d). I think the best matchup for the National Championship right now would be LSU vs Oklahoma St (though I have a feeling they will lose to the Sooners). It would be the unmovable object versus the unstoppable force (Oklahoma St has a better offense than the Ducks, so I think it would be a closer game). Anyway, help educate me. Where do I get started? Do I paint myself purple for the game Saturday? Geaux Tigers! Go Ducks!

Most will be a smart a$$ responses just cause you are new. 1.Yes, of course we say y'all. 2.Don't paint yourself purple. 3.Everyone has their special things they do before the game but that thread got moved to the roundtable (thanks Red). 4. No really, our defense could hammer some NFL teams. You have to be loud if you are a LSU fan. We hate Bama and Auburn. Rule of the SEC, if by some chance LSU doesn't win we have to pull for Bama to win the NCG. SEC always wins the National Championship Game! Ask and you will receive.
Welcome soxfan. To fully understand what it is to be an LSU fan, I strongly recommend an SEC night game in Tiger Stadium. The game day experience is like nothing else. Too bad that we got robbed of an SEC night game this year.
okay...I'll take the purple paint back to the store. Uh oh...so if I'm an LSU fan, I have to be an SEC fan as well? I don't know if I can do that. Let's take baby steps. If LSU plays Stanford for the "Natty", I will root for LSU. However, if Alabama plays Stanford I have to be loyal to the Pac-12 and pull for Stanford. I will only defect for LSU at this point. And yes, I think Stanford will beat the Ducks in a couple of weeks (I actually think they will beat them worse than LSU did...which won't help LSU, but it won't hurt them that much either if LSU beats Alabama this week). alright, first question: best fight song and good youtube link?
