I'm an LSU uniform purist, being that the uniforms we wear are basically the same as the '58 National Champions of LSU. Yet, I don't see the problem. We just added a little "LSU" below the neckline. So what? I'm also not bothered by the other changes we have made over the years to the uniform of the '58 National Champions: 1) changing the numbers on the helmet to an ugly helmet logo and then to our current beautiful helmet logo 2) moving the numbers from above the shoulder stripes to below the shoulder stripes (although in one of the below pics, Cannon's numbers are below the shoulder stripes) 3) we added another set of stripes at the end of the sleeve 4) we got rid of the little white space between the shoulder stripes 5) we added a little yellow space between the pants stripes 6) we added a Nike swoosh on our uniforms, located over the player's heart 7) we added an SEC (?) badge on our unforms, located on the non-heart side of the player's chest etc. LSU's last game: JJ in the Peach Bowl vs GT
