It seems a bit needless to me. It's 1" tall, for heavens sake who is going to be able to see it? It's not even as big as the Nike logo. We already have LSU in 4" letters on the helmet.
It's about branding related to jersey sales. When a fan is walking around (without an LSU helmet, like most sane fans) currently there is no "advertisement" or "brand exposure" by having that fan wear that jersey unless the people who see the jersey know that it's an LSU jersey. You take that for granted, of course, who doesn't know what an LSU jersey looks like, right? I bet some people in Vermont have no idea. Same for Idaho, etc. Now, it's pretty plain to see. If you can't see it, you have eye problems. It's all part of the "Flagship Agenda" to approve the image and exposure of the University. The FA has already made huge strides for LSU in the last 10 years. I'm all for that continuing.
As long as this is all, im fine with it, but we have seen what would happen if we put nike in charge of a uni redesign... *shudders*
I've had people in Austin ask me if my shirt was for a high school or some other team other than LSU if it didn't specifically say LSU on it. I have a few that say like "Tiger Football" or something. It's important to have those 3 letters on there, from a marketing standpoint.
Can you remake this post in a "paperdoll" format? Just for the slow kids. :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi:
people getting run over by charles scott will be able to read what school they should've attended before they lose their consciousness and pride. :helmet:
