I hear you...but it's the one thing that keeps my youngest daughter interested in the game which = me getting to watch the game in peace. :hihi:
Some of my earliest (and best) memories are still triggered by the smells of peanuts, popcorn and hotdogs (and bourbon, always, in the background) in the corridors of Tiger Stadium. Now I suppose my son's earliest (and I hope best) memories of Tiger Stadium will be triggered by sushi, chocolate chip cookies and Honey Baked ham. <sigh> At least the bourbon will still be there. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
The nice thing is our children can enjoy the same sights and smells we had as kids...because some of the popcorn and nachos have been there since we were kids. :hihi: I always convince myself the concessions must be fresh for the first home game only to realize they're not. I'm just too weak and always give into temptation.
The stadium club has quite a bit of "free" food already figured into the ticket price. I don't see much of the new pay for booths going over well there. I imagine they will either squeeze them in or replace some of the other vendors.
:geauxtige Surely a sign that the apocalypse is opon us. Sushi in Tiger Stadium? Are we in freakin' California now?
Sushi....and manliness...just don't go together. Okie, you get a pass, but chances are that if some dude puts sushi or some alternate form of coffee like Mocha Latte to his lips he's probably had a man there before. Sushi is for Peter Puffers and Salami Smugglers !! :hihi:. (whatcha think Cajun Sensation ?)
