yeah i dont think its about 2 pt conversions. its about making it somewhat of a challenge. but if they continue to miss, maybe that will happen. they missed 4 yesterday when 8 was missed all of last year. i like it. i also saw someone make a 48 yarder yesterday after 2 penalties.
I like it so far. Just think if a team has a gutsy comeback to drive the field and score a TD with seconds left and the PAT to tie it. I bet the extra distance would give the kicker something to think about and will lead to a miss in a big situation (eventually).
Kicker's jobs are very tenuous anyway. Now there is even more pressure. We are going to see a lot of turnover among kickers this year.
I wonder how many returns there were, not for TD just kick off returns where the guy actually got to try? Was listening on XM to one of the games and the guy made a point that it might not be long until the kickoff is a thing of the past beings almost everyone is out of the end zone. I was hoping OBJ could bring one back last night against the cowgirls and the damn thing went over his head and into the stands
I like the new rule, it was just a wasted play before. I can't tell you how many I've missed over the years because it was the perfect time to go to the bathroom.
