At the UA All-American game, Lowe didn't give Rivals any juicy drama to report. He told them he is all LSU, that LSU is "the place for me," and that LSU is going to have "probably one of the best classes ever." He said he isn't interested in anybody else, and he said that after the All-American game is over, "I am just going to focus on getting ready for LSU." :LSU231:
:geaux: Anyone know how Lowe did in the game? I didn't get to watch until we got the good news about DeBose. :LSU231:
Lowe looked pretty solid from the plays I watched and he had a great week of practice. I liked his hand techniques to keep the DL at bay and he had nice balance.
He's one of the players who's stock might be falling after this week. ESPN said his upside his great, but they've backed off the quick contributor stance. They also feel he'll be better suited at guard instead of tackle.
That means they were impressed with his OG skills because he played out of position this game. We all know he will need a year or two to come in and contribute.
So the Scout Inc. guys named Lowe as one of the four guys they were disappointed with. At least they are just saying he disappointed them at OT, but they think he will be a great OG. The other three guys that disappointed them were RB Washaun Ealey (Georgia commit), TE Barrett Matthews (Texas commit), and WR Marlon Brown (undecided). I'm surprised they decided to single out Marlon Brown, even after he had that awesome TD in the game. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=3810580
