Black wasn't as highly touted coming out of high school. He just developed really well once he arrived on campus. Cudos to him.
Not sure if I agree on that completely. Both Saban & Miles were very high on him as a recruit so you can't say it was just post-high school development. Ciron was the #12 OG in the country, although he was only a 3 star. He did have an offer from Texas. None the less, Lowe is a great pickup & one I'm happy to have.
Lowe rated third best OT in ESPN top 150 (just released): http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recr...tracker/espn150?season=2009&display=all&set=0 ranked #29
LSU has 9 in the ESPN top 150 so far. Alabama 3 . . . Auburn zero. The Barn better kick it into gear.
I think LSU will end up with about 15, with the last 6 all being in the top 150. LSU with 10 percent of the top 150. That's cooky talk.
Stavion Lowe was named: Second Team OL, USA Today's All-USA football team http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/football/2008-all-usa.htm?csp=34
