Was it O, Les or Moffitt a few years ago that called out a group of players by posting their names on the locker room door and basically saying these guys were not working out?
Just saw this There are reports coming from both Cincinnati and South Bend that Mike Denbrock will be following his longtime friend Brian Kelly to LSU where he will serve as OC. Denbrock has been OC at Cincinnati since 2017.
It was posted outside of Moffitts door, I don't know if it has ever been revealed who actually put it up
Cincy was 44th in total offense this year with 429 yds/game. 47th in rush offense, 50th in pass offense, but 9th in scoring at 38.8 pts/game. Red zone offense was unimpressive at first glance, 95th in the nation at 78%. But they were close to 69% when you just look at touchdowns, which compares very favorably with the top ten red zone offenses in the country.
It was probably Moffitt but I have nothing to back it up. If it was him that could explain some things too. I feel like it makes my point. Lazy m'frs don't like to be called out, that I know.
not was Moffitt: Moffitt posted a sign in his window calling out a handful of members on the team. Here is what the sign read: Attention NFL Scouts: The following athletes miss workouts and always have an excuse. These men lack the self discipline and motivation to take care of their responsibilities. I will not answer questions regarding their performance numbers or character as they care only about themselves. Moffitt then went on to name ten players from the team. Perhaps the most surprising name on Moffitt’s snarky little sign was defensive end/outisde linebacker prospect Sam Montgomery. Montgomery is viewed by many NFL draft scouts to be a first-round talent and should hear his name called in the first 32 picks of April’s draft. I am thinking keeping Jones, Baker and Davis wouldn't be a bad idea based on the improvement of the D, the OL and the LB play. See how they do next year and if it works out great if not then we have a bunch of time to bring in others. All this only if Kelly can't get the guys he wants this year. Thoughts?
Seven of those guys made it to the league at least for two or three seasons. Two are still there; Collins and Alexander.
