After OU lost us being #1 and Bama #2 was a given. Clemson not passing Boise needs to be corrected if Clemson keeps winning.

LSU took 26 of the 32 first place votes left vacant by OU and Wisconsin losing. That's a resounding vote for who they really think is the best team in the country and has been all along.

LSU was going to be #1 in this poll no matter if OU had won or not.

They finally caved as I predicted.

Big game bob strikes again! If Stanford makes it to the bcsnc they will be destroyed by either lsu or bama. There is no way a pus- 12 team can handle a sec defense. Okie state would put up a much better game than Stanford. Stanford in the bcsnc would be a repeat of the lsu uo game. They don't have the beast in the trenches to handle smash mouth big boy football.

LSU is first in the new Harris Poll as well. With 2 of the 3 elements of the BCS ranking us #1 we should stay #1 there as well no matter what Brad Ewards predicts. They have such a crush on Nicky and the gumps it is sickening.
    I hope we crush them.

OU gets 45 rung on them at home and stays in top 10, while Wisconsin loses a nail bitter on a last second play on the road, and drops out of top 10. I realize OU was ranked higher, but OU should have dropped even farther. About 2-3 weeks from now, they will be talked up as a great team again, and start to squeak back up, mark my words. They will be top 3-4 in a few weeks.

They were predicting that LSU will drop to #2 in the BCS. That would be kind of ridiculous considering how the Tigers dismantled Auburn. I imagine if they flip Bama to #1, we can thank Syracuse for beating the snot out of WVU. Penn State's steady climb has also helped Alabama's strength of schedule, but PSU should free fall in the next few weeks.

    Trying to do the computations.

I have LSU #1 in my preliminary calculations.

The biggest issue for LSU is West Virginia losing to Syracuse. It could hurt us in 1 or 2 computer polls.

With the WVU loss, we still jump Okie state and Bama then?

No, not in the computer polls.

After the Bama game, an LSU win propels them to #1 in almost every computer poll.

But then Okie State still has OU, Tech, Baylor and Kansas State still remaining on their schedule. Two top 10 and two more near top 25 teams.

It will be close in the end, but the SEC CG would put LSU over the top with 13 wins vs 12 for Okie State, if both teams run the table. We'll either be playing SC or Georgia, one should be ranked in the top 15 at that point and possibly the top 10 (in Georgia's case, most likely).

West Virgina (bastards) and Oregon need to keep winning.

Oregon beating Stanford would be huge. Circle that game on your calendar.
