Things are really looking up for Bama with TN and AU having serious issues. The balance of power game in the west will now be LSU/Bama, not LSU/AU.

Isn't it nice to have FL instead of TN as our annual eastern buddy!?

I love having Florida as our annual opponent from SEC-EAST.

You shouldn't be *that* thankful, after a bit more thinking. The weakness of Tennessee means that Florida has the odds on mashing up the east again next year. That basically means LSU and UF likely end up playing twice, so long as both don't screw up completely. LSU loses to UF, beats Bama, they're playing again in Atlanta. UF loses to LSU, runs over the rest of the East like a train, they're playing again in Atlanta... I'd welcome it (great games) if it weren't for the possibility of being cut out of the National Championship by unbeatens coming out of other conferences.

It seems to me the SEC Championship game ends up boosting good teams more often than hamstringing them. The only case I remember where the championship game hurt a team was Tennessee losing to LSU in 2001. I welcome the boost at the end of the season.
