    That's a pretty ignorant statement.

Maybe if the don't staunch the flow of uneducated, unemployed, unlawful messicans they'll drop to Mississippi's level

I don't know I guess I can try and make it simpler for you?
Terrorism wasn't widespread and we weren't threatened in our country until the 90's.
I also said that this was for starters, not the only reason.
I don't think it is a good idea for illegals to come to this country, breaking the law, what are the chances they are going to respect our laws or our country.
Also I am willing to bet Mexico is emptying their jails or sending there dependents this way.

Let me be serious with you for a minute here.

Should we enforce laws of the land?
If not lets just pick an choose which wants we want to enforce.
    Is that wise?

Is it also wise to let unscreened illegals or aliens into the country?
One reason we have immigration policies is to screen applicants and pick and choose who you want in your country.
    Why?
The main reason is so you aren't paying out government benefits to the country of Mexico and its citizens.

I will bet you your paycheck against mine that our government is paying out our tax dollars to people living in Mexico or illegals here sending it back to Mexico.
I don't know, maybe you are ok with that?

i question the wisdom of quite possibly pissing off the race that will soon be the majority in this country.

i was exaggerating though, we all know the only way a state is lower than Ms is if puerto rico is made one.

You just nailed the entirety of Obama's motivation here. FK America, it's all about the vote.

Disagree in a way unless you mean Obama making Illegals legal to vote for him.
That is probably the only way he would be re-elected but I question Gummy's statement there.
I don't believe every Hispanic, Latino believe this is about racism especially those that came legally.
His motivation is about the redistribution of wealth.
Obama doesn't care about the vote because the majority of Americans are against many of his policies.
Look at the polls on almost any policy he is trying to implement.

i read an article yesterday, and i apologize i am unable to find the link now, in which a democratic strategist was talking about the pubs going after obama for his administration going after the state of arizona on this. basically, they said that the republican party may score points in the short term, with those that are likely to vote republican anyway, but they will drive the latino vote to the democrats with that policy. that the majority of latino's (not illegals, but voting citizens) are against the arizona law and that the republicans will lose them as votes by saying the administration should not be suing arizona.

the dems strategist was practically crowing about what a "bad move" the pubs were making by criticizing the obama administration and how it would cost the pubs votes.

He's already lost those voters. You can put a fork in Barry. The flood of mexicans is to ensure the future of the Democrat Party.

That all depends on the numbers that actually show up to vote democrat, that goes for Latino's and democrats.

I am in no way saying I am right here but many Americans, independents and probably a few democrats are fed up with the way things are going not to mention implementing unpopular polices during a recession.
I would bet that more show up to vote against the incumbents of both parties but I think Democrats are going to take a major hit.
I think more people show up to vote against in bad times than when thing are peachy!
Just look at the Dems out there that are close in the polls or are in trouble that no one ever thought would happen.

Btw, if you consider that one issue maybe so, the oil spill and other reasons will play into the vote.
