the first law i believe is constitutional and i have no problem with. i have been over that. no need to rehash that.

i believe the second arizona law is in error in that this is a federal matter, not a state matter. i said in my original post on the issue that i believe it is a federal matter. but i fully believe that it is an issue that needs to be taken up at the federal level. i believe it is a huge loophole allowing illegals to break the law with impunity.

can the 14th amendment be changed? i dont know. but, imo, if it could be, it should be to disallow citizenship from illegal activity. if that is not feasible, red is right that all special rights to illegals who spit out kids here should be done away with with amending immigration laws.

if congress and whoever the president at the time is cant find the cajones to address immigration reform, it is going to have to be forced on them.

Sorry, I was unaware that you had been given the power to determine constitutionality. When did they take that from the Supreme Court and give it to you? Surely Hannity would have mentioned that.

How are we 100% sure the children are being born here?

That's the problem I have with it.

Yeah, but that really isn't medical information is it? And couldn't State Lawmakers make hospitals have a form that patients sign that pretty much waive their rights to immigration status? Would be shady, but i bet it could be done. "Sign here, here, and here" Boom, waived rights.

Won't ever happen. But yeah, I think HIPPA applies to any hospital situation. At least that's how my wife makes it seem.

the constitution determines constitutionality einstein, the Supreme Court just interprets it mainly according to their political agenda in a lot of cases. Constitutionality is as simple as understanding the first amendment. Like i said you use it when it fits your needs.
