On paper it already is! I also dont think you will find a staff, from top to bottom, anywhere in the country as highly qualified as this one. They each have the reputation and credentials to back it up.

They will be under some pressure to perform immediately. That staff payroll has to be in excess of 6 million and probably approaching 7 Mil. That looks like it could be the highest payroll in the country.

So Cooper and Crowton have been HC's before at some level. Pretty impressive staff.

Yup it is and it doesnt bother me at all. It will payoff in the end one way or another. From an institutions perspective winning and licensing fee's usually offset some of these seemingly absurd salaries. See Saban at Bama. Their merchandise sales have gone through the roof since his hire. LSU's are already good and will get better with continued success. The new TV contract doesnt hurt either.

We should have a great season next year, but '10 and '11 should be :crystal: each.:LSU231: This is all if the staff holds together and no major injuries.

    I agree with this 100 %.

LSU has a chance to compete for an NC next season, but some things have to fall our way. Our defense has to learn an entirely new defensive scheme and our QB has to play steady (Mauck and Flynn-like).

But in 2010/2011, LSU will be most difficult to beat. Period.
