When does the baseball season start? Are they planning on playing all games in the new Stadium? Drove by it today and i really have no clue how they think the stadium will be ready. I will try to get some pics on the way to work tomorrow, but nothing looks even close to being finished.
All signs point to yes. Friday, Feb. 20 vs. Villanova. In the past they have hosted an Alumni game earlier but I believe it took place in the Old Alex Box this fall.
It'll be done in January, as planned. Lights are on, paint is on most of the walls, grass is green, forms for the curbs are built, glass is installed for the most part. All that's needed really is the seats, the fences and asphalt for the parking lot and then they can run down the check list.
PHUCK YEAH!! I need a pair of tickets to at least one game on opening weekend if anyone has a hook-up
Is that how it is supposed to look when finished? I thought they were adding walls to that structure. Plus all the extra building on the plot are no where near done.
That's how its goinna look. they'll have some fancy display stuff in front of the gate but thats how closed in an open air stadium will be...and the building on the side is a batt cage. its insulated on the roof already and the nets are installed. the CMU wall goes up next, i assume it will be cmu's anyway. but, that shouldnt take long to construct
eh ok. If that is what they are going for. it just looks 1/2 complete to me. Maybe it will look different when its filled with people
