This is odd. I know we had a scholarship to give if Johns greyshirted, but I was assuming we would keep it for 2010. If this guy is graduating from high school now why hasn't he already committed to play football somewhere if he is good? What is the deal?
Wait, it says 2009 graduate. So perhaps he is just like everyone else that will be a part of the 2010 class, but we are counting the scholly back to 2009? I don't know. I never heard of this guy before. In the immortal words of Vince Lombardi, "What the hell is going on around here?"
We signed 24 total last year even if Johns gets a full offer. But that is only part of the equation. We can do what we want as long as we have 85 on scholarship this year.
I like this move.. we'd take his younger brother Hill in a heartbeat. He's just as good as Hilliard and will be battling for a top-5 spot in the state.
All I heard is the obvious. He is mainly a track guy and we can see why by his stats but he wants a shot at football. I am sure the staff will see what he can do but wouldn't be surprised if it was only for a little while before he settles on T&F. This is assuming the report is not bogus.
Track Guy and one of the fastest in the nation, hopefully will help w/his brother and only see him as ST if he does play football but will excel in T&F
