He's a good one, from Daphne. I couldn't say where Rivals has him in the top 50 (in state) but I'd be willing to bet there are only a handful in front of him.

Dallas Thomas just got his offer from LSU. I expect he'll commit sometime relatively soon (before his senior year).

There's an article on tigerbait right now about how we're venturing outside of La for a RB because Alonzo doesn't have an offer (as of now). The RB they mention is Reggie Hunt, RB from Alabama, who's on the Rivals 250 to watch. He appears to favor Florida right now, and likes the spread offense. Scout has him as a 3 star right now.

We've backed off Reggie in the last few weeks so he is literally wide-open on the recruiting front. (that's according to what Reggie said in an interview) From what I've heard from his area there were two things that were brought up. One, size, and two, he seemed to be a bit injury prone. (way to early to make those kinds of judgements, but I'm no a college scout/coach).

He's quick, and has a great burst of speed.

This is by no means a knock on Reggie, AT ALL!

Max Emfinger has him rated as the #2 RB available for the next signing class. Whenever I see ME's ranking of players, comments, you name it, I can't help but thinking about Emfinger ranking his son at a similar position/rank. (4*, I want to say, maybe 5*) When coaches begin watching him...well, to say the least, Dad's judgement was overwhelmed by Dad's love for his son.

He lost just about all credibility he had with me after that. Clearly a ploy to get his son's name in front of schools.

Louisiana is supposed to be loaded with HS junior running backs this year. LSU should be able to grab a couple next year.

Right on, that is why we will only sign one RB in this upcoming class. I expect to sign 2 or 3 the following year.

Cyrus Gray is another RB we're recruiting. He's from Tx, has offers from OU, ND, Miami, etc, and describes himself as a finesse runner, but his Scout 40 time is 4.47, not very impressive especially for a RB who is a better outside runner. Scout lists his area of improvement as size, as he's listed as 5' 10.5", 181lbs.
