To CBS, ten minutes game time is another hour and a half broadcasting time. I don't like that time guaranteed to be played. What happens if they are tied after 10 minutes? Another 10? At lest with the current overtime there is a possibility of it ending quickly. Sudden death would be the best way.
The first time another team had first possession and won it without LSU touching it (Offensively) we'd feel it wasn't fair. I would, anyway. It's another thing I don't like about the No Fun League.
That would get my vote. It would also cause a lot of teams to go for two instead of the one in regulation.
That may be the sanest suggestion I've heard. That way the fatigue factor doesn't weigh in quite so heavily. The special teams guys aren't on the field all that often, and then for just one play. And, as you say, it would keep it short and sweet! Good thinkin' Tiga. (now we'll expect that from you all the time. :wink
You think the other players would be willing to let the game be decided by a kicker? I'd be pretty po'd if I busted my ass all game so a kicker can lose it in OT.
Oh wait, if we could do that in the first place and in OT, we wouldn't be discussing this. How many games did the PAC decide in OT this year, anyway?
Yep. I told my brother in the stands that we should go for two when we scored at the end of regulation. I know coaches would take heat for doing that and not making it, but I wouldn't have any problems with it. It usually comes down to that in OT, anyway.
Probably not. But how many games go to OT as a result of a last minute FG? They team doesn't mind putting it all on the kicker in that situation... ldskule:
