  2. Ultimately, it was the band director's decision and he ok'd it, even knowing what would happen when they played it. It's the whole reason it was banned to begin with.

    Also, who actually fines them if it's played? The SEC? I know this won't happen, but what if they played it, but there were no lewd singing by the students. Do they still get fined?

    I can't help but to think of the word irony. Here we have the "upper crust" if you will, and they look down upon and consider others to be less civilized yet THEY are the ones acting like assholes.

  4. I'm no prude, and when I was in college I probably would have been chanting it too. But as someone with kids, I can say that chant is not becoming the university that's supposed to represent our state, so stop playing it...because you can't expect drunken college kids to act with good sense....

    And besides, Grambling and Southern put LSUs band to shame on that song....

  7. My daughter didn't make the game because she was home for Thanksgiving, she was very disappointed she missed it. You can say what you want about morals or whatever but for some reason this has become a really big deal for the students..
