If you can't understand that simple concept I feel sorry for you.

Wow, I did not cover this embarrassing "jewel" earlier. My Bad.

Who do you think wrote the tax code for 2009? O'bama..Surely you jest? The government printing office essentially runs the world, you probably did not know that, but it does, since printing deadlines are sacred

No matter how much the big O wanted, he could only make marginal changes to laws and regs in 2009. Simply a function of getting stuff printed.

Sadly, the tax code you are whining about was from the Bush administration. I am not much of historian, I just have spatial and temporal awareness. I certainly am not blaming Bush, or it was the fault of Bush, as your rabid filters had you interpret my facts, it is just a matter of timing.

Breaking your back, doing physical labor at a job that could be farmed out to Mexico or Bangalore any day while making less than half of what I make isn't fair either.

I used to be angry about the amount of taxes that I paid every year while many people I knew were getting $3,000 - $4,000 tax returns back every year, including many family members. On top of that was subsidized housing, food stamps, etc. Then I took a harder look at their lives and decided that this was a fair trade off because I couldn't handle being as poor as they were, living check to check and having nothing to show for myself. I enjoy doing nice things with my girls and travelling, things I can do and my poorer friends and relatives cannot. One day I will be able to retire without a worry and they'll be living on fixed incomes and working menial jobs probably until they die.

It might not be Webster's definition of fair, but this world is not exactly black and white. I actually have a heart beating in my chest and because of that, I am a little sympathetic. As my mom used to say, "Life isn't fair. Get over it."
