TV: ESPN3, 2:15 p.m. Thursday, 3:15 p.m. Friday. ESPNU/ESPN3, 9 a.m. Saturday. Notable: The Track & Field News form chart projects Oregon to win the NCAA women's team championship in a three-way battle with LSU and Kansas.
The LSU women's javelin thrower is from Mandeville, and works at the Abita Brew Pub. Her first name is Jenna...I'll have to look up her last name. It's Baker. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticl...DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=204889927&Q_SEASON=2010 You'd never guess she throws the javelin....she's kind of short and has short arms. I love it when athletes don't have the perfect body type and they are successful at such high levels.
Per dandyDon.com In closing, I'd like to congratulate LSU's women's track and field team for capturing their 26th national title yesterday when they won the NCAA Outdoor Championship and solidified their reputation as the nation’s premier women’s track and field program. Earlier in the season the Lady Tigers also won the SEC Outdoor crown. Hats off to the Lady Tigers, Coach Dennis Shaver and his entire staff.
Unfortunately, we finished second to Florida for the men's championship yesterday. I miss all things LSU, FB, BB, and Baseball, but I really miss those T&F meets on a nice spring night. My dad used to bring me to the old T&F stadium, pre-Bernie Moore. Cinder track, the real deal.
