haven't lost yet. i managed to go undefeated on the first day and until about 4pm thru friday two years ago and still finished in the middle of the pack (16 out of 40) i haven't won money on a bracket since the 90's :bncry:
OK, so what are some of everybody's upset picks? I played my bracket very straight up this year...trying to pick upsets and Cinderella's hasn't gotten me in the money in a long time. My only big first rounder this year is Notre Dame over Washington St (11 over 6, I believe), and I have USC going to round of 8. So far, so good....7 out of 7 and tied for the lead out of 69 in the pool! (rep points to the first person to make the innuendo joke)
I love Stephen Curry and Davidson, but Gonzaga isnt a great matchup for them...but I picked them anyways.
I got Seina (sp) beating Vandy and Davidson beating Georgetown Those are my 2 biggies but after the games so far today its not gonna matter I forgot I got Drake going pretty far but they are a 5 so not much of upset
This K St ga,e is gonna be a GREAT one, and Belmont haning with Duke would cause alot of broken hearts
I am in a $20 pool with 50 people. It is the Mansur's pool I do every year and I really like how the brackets are scored. You are forced to hedge your bets and take risk with some higher seeded teams in the 1st few rounds. For each win you get the seed number + the round number which is 1 in the 1st, 2, 4, 8, 12, and 25 for the championship. I have won it once and came in the money the last 5 years (1-3 place). Pot winner gets close to $800. Wish me luck cause I could use some dough right now.
