As much as it helps to have friends in the right places, LSU clearly handled this in the textbook manner. LSU discovered the violation on it's own, stopped any further violations immediately, fired and removed the offending parties, punished itself accordingly and reported all to the NCAA. The is precisely the way the NCAA expects things to be handled.
this is true. plus as i said above, lsu did not benefit on the field by the impropriety. not one. single. down. the player never saw the field, then was dismissed from the team at the end of the year. i mean, it's not like we paid a player who then won the heisman and took us to a nc*. *example being purely a hypothetical situation to point out how it could have been handled differently.
